The Bismarck Tribune Discovery Center offers a hands-on learning environment complete with live animal and educational displays, aquariums, computers and graphics designed to educate visitors about the natural world. A large outdoor playground area is located just steps from the Discovery Center's doors.
The 900 square foot meeting room located inside the Bismarck Tribune Discovery Center is a perfect place for smaller groups to gather for meetings or parties. The room seats 75 people "theater style" or up to 40 with tables and chairs. The room features unique wildlife decor with windows overlooking the Zoo's waterfowl area. By request, the meeting room can be equipped with a sound system, video projector, television/DVD player, slide projector, overhead projector, a large projection screen, and internet access.
The room rents for $25 per hour. An additional $25 per hour will be charged for parties or meetings after hours, as a Zoo staff person will need to be available while the room is in use. Admission is free to Dakota Zoo members, and a reduced admission fee will be charged to non-members. The Zoo admissions staff can keep a running total of non-member guests if you would like to pick up the tab for your guests. If you wish to do so, you may bring your own food, treats, decorations and paper products. No balloons, plastic bags or food for the animals is allowed on Zoo grounds due to the danger they pose to our animals.
Reservations are accepted on a first-come first-serve basis. To schedule your party or meeting, please contact the Zoo at 701-223-7543 or via e-mail at firstname.lastname@example.org.
