Clydesdale Horse
These large horses were first bred as warhorses in the mid-18th century. Large horses were needed to carry knights in armor, who could weigh up to 400 lbs. when fully dressed. Later, these large horses were utilized for pulling in various areas across the world including coal skips in England, wool-laden wagons in Australia and New Zealand and of course, milk and beer wagons in North America.
