Miniature Horse

The designation of the miniature horse is determined by it’s height at the withers. Most registries require a miniature horse to be under 36” to be considered a horse and not a pony. Miniature horses generally have the same confirmation as horses, albeit in miniature form, while ponies usually have thicker manes, shorter legs, wider heads and are more barrel shaped in appearance.
