Family Zookeeper Camp
Dakota Zoo Family Zookeeper Camp allows the whole family to experience a day in the life of a zookeeper. This camp is designed for families to participate together in a fun, hands-on experience that gives an in-depth look at the many different aspects of zookeeping. Activities may include creating enrichment activities for zoo residents, going behind the scenes to help prepare diets and learn about animal health care, attending species-specific presentations done by our zookeepers, and much, much more. Each registration must include at least one child (Ages 5-18) and one parent/guardian.
Cost:
Cost is $45 per person for non-members and $40 per person for members. Registration will remain opened until 1 week before the event or until the camp is full. Contact our Education/Volunteer Coordinator at (701) 223-7543 ext. 3 or e-mail educate@dakotazoo.org
Dates:
November 16
If unable to make the camp, we will consider it a donation to the zoo. No refunds will be given.
Should zoo camp participants leave early on one or more zoo camp days, they will not receive a refund.
We reserve the right to dismiss a camper who does not meet the camper requirements, has false information on their registration or health form, or that continues to misbehave after behavior interventions, without a refund.
In these extremely rare instances, it is the responsibility of the parent/guardian to pick up their child from zoo camp immediately.
